Our Artist Of The Week is The Underclass
The Underclass are a 4-piece indie rock band from Stoke On Trent. They have created their own signature sound by taking inspiration from multiple genres such as rock, pop and electronica, with a hint of new wave, bringing it all together to create something new and unique. The Underclass are already ticking off some very impressive boxes, such as performing twice at 2022’s Y Not festival, selling out gigs across the country, gaining over 130,000 Spotify streams and almost 20,000 monthly listeners! There is no sign of stopping yet for these boys, they want the world…
Listen to their latest single, ‘Time and Fate‘ here:
‘Time and Fate‘ is probably the band’s most adventurous song to date. It flows like a journey: the start is laid-back, then it morphs into a huge anthem. They took a lot of inspiration from artists like Mac DeMarco, Tame Impala and The Beatles to give the track a psychedelic-indie sound. The song is about two people going through life, wanting to achieve their goal, with the belief that time and fate are on their side, no matter what gets in the way.
